1- Adult, female mosquitoes lay their eggs in water. Mosquitoes can generally lay 100 eggs at a time.
2- It only takes a very small amount of water.  Bowls, cups, fountains, tires, barrels, tarps, vases and any other container storing water makes for a great “nursery.”
3- Larvae emerge from mosquito eggs.  Rainwater or humans adding water to containers with eggs will trigger the larvae to emerge.
